Melayu or MeLAJU?

February 13, 2011 Leave a comment

Random.

Macam mana ekh? Boleh tukar word tak? Melaju? Alamak mcm pebiyen (boyan). Tapi sounds alil progressive kan. 🙂

Hush.

January 30, 2011 Leave a comment

I’d prefer to not intervene, and just smile when..

  • one’s talking about something I have no absolute clue about
  • them talking about someone whom I’m not familiar with
  • them talking about someone I know so well — but they have no idea that we’re close
  • one’s boasting too much on his/her own talent/capability
  • them judging on the ability of others
  • one’s explaining terms and concepts of matters I have no interest in
  • one’s convincing his/her understanding to areas out of their own capability
  • one’s boasting how much a ‘player’ he/she is/was
  • one’s proud of the number of guys/gerls he/she slept with
  • them discussing on acquiring new products from high-end brands
  • one’s frustration on someone/people but have no balls to do anything about it
  • them insinuating and criticizing but bowing their heads down low upfront
  • one’s thinking they’re smart when they have no idea what they’re dealing with
  • one’s foolish remarks
  • them saying so much but not acting upon every single word spoken

It’s tiring and can be quite painful to start an argument with such people. So I’d rather smile and keep my mouth shut.

So the next time if you see me not reacting much to whatever you’re saying, then maybe you should know why.

living or leaving a dream?

I’d love to wake up and be on time for assembly — to hear the bell ring again — and to make my decisions right this time round. When that happens, don’t wake me up again.t this time round. When that happens, don’t wake me up again.

It’s 1 year already!

December 23, 2010 Leave a comment

TODAY 24/12/2010 marks my 1st Year Anniversary being an Independant Artiste.

Thank you for keeping me strong and sane, for having much faith in me — in times when i had to make tough decisions and times when i’m feeling down and demotivated; my family, close friends.

My heartfelt appreciation to Hyrulites Exco/Committee/s for sticking close and for the load of contributions to the success of my singing career all this while, though you guys are growing old too fast– but i’m proud to have a bunch of smart people leading the team, aware of hateful intentions and knowing how to handle consequences and complications. Even when the day comes when the phase is prolly over, I’d still remember your heart and sweat throughout giving your endless support to my passion for entertaining–

Cheers to my record label, Gumbira for the debut album SesebuahPerubahan and to everyone involved in the entire album production — those in Singapore and Malaysia. From the songs, lyrics, album cover, sponsors, stylists, photographers etc. Thank you especially to Imran Ajmain & Faliq Jamadin for being the executive producers to this meaningful product. Credits to Raudha for assisting me with alot of things throughout this one whole year, though you were never officially my manager –part time! lol. Thank you guys for realising my dream, after half a decade — Finally! Like what the hell have I been waiting for, right?!

Grateful and blessed to have the trust of people whom I’ve started my dream with, known since the beginning of my journey — Thank you for still having me on MediaCorp, Suria, Manja, Ria, Warna, Berita Harian, Newpaper, and all other local media/production/event companies. I could never thank enough for believing in my talent and my determination, despite the roller-coaster rides I had to go through into finally reaching a safe ground. Thank you for calling me up to perform in your shows/events/programmes. Thank you for still remembering Hyrul Anuar and making me a household name in the local scene.

This has only been a year. Nevertheless, it has been half a decade of learning, observing, evaluating, experimenting, reciprocating and crafting what’s coming in the near future.

I’m currently happily studying in UniSIM taking up BA in Comm, moving on to my 2nd year in 2011. I’m looking forward to working with more people and learning alot more about music, acting and probably hosting — eager to gain more knowledge if given the right opportunities.

Alhamdulillah, I’ve never felt this fulfilling before. It’s been one crazy year of many experiences – ups and downs. I’m not looking back, cos I know I left for better things ahead. I’ve mastered the art of patience and tolerating with negativities. Nevertheless, Twitter has been a good source to ease some pain — though I know there’s thousands of followers — but why hide behind someone you’re not. Allow me to speak my mind, Thanks.

Once again, Thank YOU.

Wishing EVERYONE Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2011!!

c”,) Yours Sincerely
Hyrul Anuar

Obliviate

I can never thank you enough. For those who sincerely supported, for those who had eagerly worked in helping me stand strong through these gruelling years, for those who have appreciated my talent, my songs thus sincerely been requesting them on air, for those who have given me gifts which I’ve kept or cud have consumed, for those who have not only known me but my family and peers, and to those who have been acting hypocritically nice to me, for those who have slashed my dreams but still exuding pure innocence, least to keep me grounded and reminded that we’re no friggin’ stars, but merely beings with an extra gift, special ability or a sacred talent, bestowed upon us.

Whoever said it’s an easy crap, let me smudge it all over your face.

It boils down to how suck and blow them for pleasure, to be embraced and initiated into the accepting party. Just like how they believed in karma going round and round, that’s exactly how they’re toying with our lives because for some reason they have the been miraculously blessed with all the good things. If it’s was ever a choice in the beginning, it would have never been chosen. It disturbs me to see the sprouts of new hopes and enthusiasm rushing and fighting over places at the starting line. It’ll b my fantasy to use Hermoine’s wand and do what she does best, but with some ability for rushes of flashes to explain my stand.

If there was really the existence of cycles that determines the presence of happiness and fortune in your life, then I’m probably at my lowest over the last quarter of a decade. If there was really an epitome of a friend, I believe he or she could have already extinct, leaving  a few endangered ones still relentlessly trying to prove their worth.

Ironically, still relying on a tinge of hope. I’m exhausted. Honestly.

29th November 2010 — Honoured to get an invitation to entertain the graduates from Bedok Twn Sec on their Prom Night. It’s not my Alma mater but made me reminisced about the good old times back in YTSS!

First time entering and performing at T3 Airport Crowne Plaza Hotel — super awesome. The ballroom rocks!

Performed the English version of ‘Popular’ and Bruno Mars’ Just The Way You Are. Received tremendous support from the whole family of BTSS. Thank u to the PSP department for calling me up! Thank you so much for having me!

Will be uploading the photos and videos on Facebook soon.
